The Best Jazz Venue On The Road (The NYC perspective)

This summer we proved that we’re not just a New York wedding jazz band after all. The Sweet Tooth Jazz Band hit the road and took our variety of fun swing-jazz, blues and originals to the Midwest. We got to host a hometown show for our saxophone player in Normal, Il and our jazz festival date in Davenport, IA got rained out. A huge highlight was our variety set of original jazz at The Slowpoke Lounge in Spring Green, WI.

For those who don’t know, Spring Green is a small hamlet tucked away in the hills of southern Wisconsin, The views, rich architectural history and oh yes, the cheese. Because of the high concentration of cultural landmarks and theatrical works, this small town of about 1,000 people punched way above its weight as far as being full of jazz and live music buffs.
